        ELECTION DAY.  In the spirit of the day we are announcing a release and now accepting preorders on an album that fits with the atmosphere of the political climate.
        In his fifth album, Christian Williams deviates slightly from the Gothic Americana murder ballads that have made him a leader in the genre for a more personal touch.30 Minutes with Christian Williams is his most personal album yet. A sort of protest-folk autobiography, it finds Williams applying the moral lessons he's learned to combat religious and patriotic fanatiscm and the capitalistic way of life. It's his effort to weather the storm by finding shelter in the simple life and personal relationships he values most.

New Release News!!  OldBoy, yes the same OldBoy as featured on the Rodentia: The Best of Dark Roots Muisic compilation will be officially joining the Devil's Ruin roster.  First, their DIY EP will get a full, official release.  Five songs, all old-timey fear and murder based,  will be a welcome addition to the catalog.  Second, the first LP by OldBoy, "In the Cold Light of Day" will make continues where the EP left off.  .  Both are available now for preorder and will ship on or before December 9th.
        Also, the Uncle Sinner album, "Ballads and Mental Breakdowns" is available to preorder as well.  There are three art versions of this album and two are limited editions of 1000 so they will go pretty quick.  Anyone preordering two versions via rodentiamusic.com will receive the third version FREE.  Street date is December 9th.

        It Burns When I Pee, the anti-Nashville podcasts as joined with Devil's Ruin to bring you a Halloween Special entitled "The Devil Has Ruined Us All".  Music from the episode features The Dad Horse Experience, Strawfoot, Lonesome Wyatt, Christian Williams, and Slackeye Slim.  Each song from these artists was taken from Rodentia: The Best of Dark Roots Music.  An interview with Slackeye Slim rounds out the episode.  Check it out at www.IBWIP.com and hear the episode at www.section86.com.

        The Sad Bastard Book Club has joined the rants of Devil's Ruin and two projects will be released by SBBC soon.  "The Collected Short Stories of Carrie Anne Crowe" and "The Collected Short Stories of Carrie Anne Crowe" (audiobook) will be released soon. Confused?  A musical album, "The Collected Short Stories of Carrie Anne Crowe" will be released.  A companion piece and audiobook of the same name will be released in conjunction with the album.  The audiobook features expanded stories and ideas of the original tracks of the album, along with some songs not found on the album.
